ShelterBox - Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize.

Emergency Disaster Relief.

You may have already heard the news via social media or via the more traditional grapevine, but if not, I'm thrilled to announce that ShelterBox has been nominated for this year's Nobel Peace Prize! It is a great honour to be nominated and that honour is shared with all our supporters and volunteers around the world; for we are all part of the same global movement, building peace one family at a time.

With an estimated 85 million people currently made homeless by conflict and disaster, we can't afford to rest on our laurels. As the financial year draws to an end, now is an ideal time to make a tax-deductible donation to help disaster-affected families in places like Guatemala and Kenya or those fleeing conflict in Syria, Iraq or the Lake Chad Basin.

Colouring Clouds Foundation

Colouring Clouds believes in reducing the stigma and eliminating the negative consequences associated with suffering depression. University students Seamus Carr and Anthony Luca founded the youth mental health organisation Colouring Clouds out of a shared passion to bring about change in the sector.

Their aim – along with fellow organisation members – is to address the mental health issue early by providing support for sufferers, creating educational programs and funding further research.

Unlike other mental health organisations, the volunteers at Colouring Clouds are all university students fitting in the age bracket of their target audience.

“Every single person on our committee is under the age of 25, which was intentional, because we wanted the people we are serving to relate entirely to what we preach,” Mr  Carr said.

The organisation’s five-year plan aims to raise awareness by taking it further than other organisations.
