Australian Rotary Health

Australian Rotary Health is one of the largest independent funders of mental health research within Australia.

We also provide funding into a broad range of general health areas, provide scholarships for rural medical and nursing students, as well as Indigenous health students. Australian Rotary Health provides funding into areas of health that do not readily attract funding, and promotes findings to the community.

Australian Rotary Health is a project of the Rotary Districts of Australia and is supported by Rotary Clubs.  We have a broad vision to improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians.

Rotary Action Groun for Club Foot

Every 3 minutes a child is born with clubfoot.  That is 200,000 children each year.  Hundreds of thousands of these children will live with a lifetime deformity that will limit their mobility, their ability to walk to school or to play with friends and eventually to work.

We have a simple mission: to support timely Ponseti Method treatment and appropriate care for all children born with clubfoot.

Rotarian Gourmet

To foster among Rotarians and their spouses mutual appreciation and awareness of cooking, and enjoying, the fine foods of all countries.

To encourage and foster among Rotarians and their spouses a better understanding and appreciation of good wines of all countries as they apply to the enjoyment of fine foods.

To assist in the relief of hunger in times of distress among all people of the world through the donation of food to such needy countries.

To promote among Rotarians and their friends. through the exchange of recipes, the awareness of fine foods of different countries and an opportunity to meet each other over fine foods and wines.

To enhance the enjoyment of dining through an awareness and knowledge of decoration and presentation of fine foods

A Taste of Brazil - Photos

In a carnival atmosphere, 50 Rotarians and their family and friends  gathered at Cilantro Restaurant to welcome our exchange student Jade Reis Costa.
The evening started with both national anthems of Brazil and Australia and a presentation of the Brazilian flag to Geoff by Jade and in return Geoff Presented Jade with an “Aussie Tee Shirt”
We learnt a lot about Brazil the country, the food, the people, the music, the customs. We welcomed and enjoyed the support of other Rotary clubs with members from Glen Eira, Caulfield, Cheltenham and Brighton clubs along with Barrie Vickers attending on the night.
Catering was brilliantly done by Carla and Roberto from Glen Eira Rotary and we all enjoyed tasting the delights of Brazilian foods.   In the background Brazilian music and singing was enjoyed by all.   See our Gallery for more photos.

Rotary Action Group for Family Safety

Families should be safe, and we should all feel safe in ours and our neighbours' families, and in our local community.

By sharing ideas and experiences, Rotary Clubs worldwide can begin to change perceptions of what is safe - and what sorts of behaviour are normal and acceptable; and which are not.

Our  Action Group provides pathways to resources and organisations: partners of Rotary Clubs who can assist families to break the cycle of family violence and invest in family safety.

Rotarian Jazz Fellowship

Welcome to RotaryJazz!

The Rotarian Jazz Fellowship brings together jazz-loving Rotarians and musicians from all over the world. Founded in Germany in 2010 as a joint venture with Rotary Clubs in the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland, this Fellowship recognizes the global impact of jazz music.

Rotary Quilters and Fiber Artists Fellowship

The Rotarian Fellowship of Quilters and Fiber Artists is a group dedicated to promoting quilting and fiber arts as an opportunity for fellowship and service.
This fellowship is an avenue of providing help to those in need, such as: tactile quilts for the blind, warm quilts for children who are in the care of social services because of neglect or abuse, and quilts or fabric toys to comfort children in countries that have experienced war, famine or other disasters.

Rotary Action Group for Endangered Species

Our purpose is to mobilize Rotarians and provide global awareness and focused ACTION in the continuing struggle to preserve and protect endangered species. We will be supporting and promoting new and ongoing joint projects with Rotary and Rotaract clubs located in the areas of concern

International Skiining Fellowship of Rotarians

Skiing is enjoyed worldwide by thousands of Rotarians and their families of all ages and abilities. What better and more enjoyable avenue to build new friendships and international understanding than to join your fellow Rotarians and sharpen your skills on the slopes of the world or see the world on cross-country skis! Not only will your physical fitness improve, but with a closer understanding of Rotary ideals your spirit will be enriched as well.

By joining the Fellowship, you will not only meet Rotarians from around the world who share your interest in skiing, but you will create lasting friendships.

Fighting for our Farmers

In Australia, Farmers are the lifeblood of our country, and as you will have read in the news - - they are in crisis, suffering through record breaking heat and minimal rainfall. Families on the land are suffering and they need our help to keep cattle, sheep and crops alive.

We in Rotary have been working with Channel Nine and in partnership with the National Farmers’ Federation to set up an emergency relief fund. 100% of donations are given to the NFF - the peak body for farmers in Australia, all donations are made via Rotary so they are tax deductible.

We launched the public appeal on the Today show and this is where you come in. This crisis is bigger than anything we have seen in many years and without immediate financial assistance, farmers are being forced to slaughter their own animals and walk off their properties. We cannot let this happen. We need your help to spread the word and a donation would be much appreciated. Every dollar counts, please click on the link below to donate and feel free to forward this email to your networks.
