The Rotary Club of Glen Eira meets weekly with new and interesting guest speakers. We also discuss our current and upcoming service projects. Visitors are always welcome to attend.
Tonight we hear about the World Cruise of the Orion. This is a true story based on the provenance of a book. The intriguing tale links the separate family histories of industrial magnates in the USA and Germany, the irony that surrounded their fates and that of the Orion, a ship that we might say changed sides, was the largest private yacht in the world in its day and a small case of souveniring at the close of World War 2.
