The Rotary Club of Glen Eira meets weekly with new and interesting guest speakers. We also discuss our current and upcoming service projects. Visitors are always welcome to attend.
This week we have a change of arrangements and will go off site to visit the Eliza & Walter Hall Institute of Medical Research in Parkville. Enjoy a tour of the state-of-the-art premises and learn about the ground-breaking research being undertaken there.
The Institute is located at 1G Royal Parade. Parkville. VIC. 3052. We need to assemble at 6:20 for a 6:30 start.
Car parking is available in the building forecourt.
To locate the building, proceed to the end of Royal Melbourne Private Hospital complex in the Royal Parade (off Grattan Str – coming from Victoria Market) and turn left. You will see the entrance to an underground carpark – do not enter the carpark but veer to the left of that entrance to reach the building forecourt car park. The building name is clearly visible.
You may be asked to ID yourself at the boom gate intercom.
We are to be met by Sally Cane BSc. - Supporter Relationships Manager - Community Relations.
After the tour – lasting approximately one hour, we have arranged to have a bite at the “Parkville Hotel” which is literally 5 minutes up the road. We have been allowed to leave our cars in Institute’s carpark until our return from dinner.
There is no cost to attend the tour and dinner will be at your own cost at the Hotel.
Bookings are now closed
