Jay's life changed for good

Rotary nominated Jay for the 2015/16 NYSF (National Youth Science Forum). He was lucky enough to be accepted and spent 2 amazing weeks in Canberra in January, 2016. Jay also applied for the International Youth Science Conference in London and was selected to attend in August, 2016. Jay's school was not supportive of his going as he would miss 3 weeks of school during VCE and 21 SAC's (too much to catch up on). Jay was upset that he couldn't go but always thought he might be able to apply again in 2017.

The NYSF programme inspired Jay to apply for a select science course at Monash called Science Advanced Global Challenge (Honours). The course is a science commerce one with a focus on how to better the world.

We believe this could not have been possible without the amazing support from Rotary who supported Jay in his love of science and provided him with a phenomenal opportunity to go on NYSF.

Jay has just left on a 3 week trip to America before he begins Uni in Feb.

We want to sincerely thank Rotary for the best start Jay could have had in his quest to have a career in Science. Many thanks for the interview practices and the presentation opportunities, we are sure these also helped Jay.

Thank you Rotary Glen Eira.

Dana and Perry Rosenzweig.
